If you’re a fan of ceramics, and are looking to get some good bargains, you’ll absolutely love this bi-annual potters’ market held at Rondebosch Park. It’s a colourful affair with pottery of all shorts, shapes, textures and sizes.
The Rondebosch Potters Market is organised by Ceramics SA, a non-profit organisation promoting ceramic artists in South Africa. The market allows both local potters and those living further afield to come and showcase their varying talents.
It’s very popular, and regulars always get there very early, to make sure they’re there to pick up the best deals, and find the most interesting new talents. Alongside the pottery, there are also a few food stalls to keep you fueled whilst you shop.
I always enjoy it, and find some really good bargains.
So, if that sounds like your cup of tea, then diarise this coming Saturday morning for some pottery-browsing.
