Cape Town audiences are in for a treat when SAMA-winning instrumental pop group Sterling EQ brings their eclectic mix of instrumental showstoppers and exquisite melodies to The Baxter Theatre on 24 March.
Known for changing the face of instrumental music in South Africa, the all-woman four-piece fuses diverse musical styles such as Classical, Kwaito, Pop, Rock and World, into their own distinctive and contemporary sound which is complemented by their energetic, visually arresting live performance.
The acclaimed quartet is made up of celebrated flautist and ex-marathon swimmer Carina Bruwer, Taiwanese born Eriel Huang and ex-model and award winning violinist Renate Riedemann on electric violins, and actress-musician Ariella Caira on electric cello. In 2011 they became only the 2nd all-woman to win an SA Music Award (SAMA) group within the last decade.
Sterling EQ LIVE at The Baxter Theatre on 24 March 2012 at 8PM is a One night Only affair not to be missed! Tickets cost R100 (concessions available for students, pensioners and group bookings), and can be booked through Computicket.
