Summer’s very definitely arrived, and so it’s time to update last year’s list of picnic options in Cape Town, with fresh information and prices for the 2012/2013 summer season.

As before, we’ll be splitting this in to groups, the first of which is this one: Picnic Baskets (the kind you order in advance, usually on wine farms). Still to come, revised versions of last year’s Picnic Concerts (picnics at concerts) and we also hope to put together a Picnic BYO list (great places for picnics, and some ideas on where to find awesome goodies to fill your own basket).

In this post, it’s all about wine farms and other picturesque locations offering picnic basket options. If there are any we’ve missed, please let us know!
