Summer Concerts in De Waal Park are back for another season! The popular summer concert series launched last year and, thanks to its generous sponsors RE/MAX Living, the concerts will be on again for the 2012/2013 season – and will once again be free of charge to the public.
The lineup is impressive, featuring Jimmy Dludlu, The Rudimentals, Mark Haze, Robin Levetan, Arno Carstens, Saudiq Kahn, Karen Zoid, The Glenn Robertson Jazz Band, Steve Louw and Big Sky, Robin Auld and Hot Water.
One of these artists will perform at the park’s original Edwardian bandstand every second Sunday from 4 November 2012 until 17 March 2013 (see programme schedule below).
The concerts are being held on Sunday afternoons for the convenience of the local community, affording everyone the opportunity to attend, including those with young children. Dogs are also welcome.

More about De Waal Park:
“De Waal Park is a community park situated in the heart of the City Bowl, Cape Town, South Africa. Originally noted for the wide variety of trees in the park, it is now known for the social interaction of dogs, owners and children. A cool retreat in summer, the dogs delight in the pond around the Victorian fountain whilst the children play on swings and round-a-bouts. Adults meet, exercise and socialize in this very special green space.”
