It’s all about ceramics later this month as Franschhoek hosts the annual Art in Clay Festival.  Participating galleries will showcase the best of our local contemporary ceramic artists, inviting visitors to wander from gallery to gallery exploring the art.

It sounds quite fun, particularly on the opening weekend, which features a variety of entertainments, including jazz bands, classical music concerts and even cabaret!

Of particular interest to market-fanatics is the two-day Potters’ Market that will also take place on the festival’s opening weekend:  Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 October 2012.  If you can’t make it out to Franschhoek, though, remember that the much anticipated Rondebosch Potters’ Market is just around the corner – set for Saturday the 17th of November 2012.

Plus, the annual Franschhoek Christmas Market will be on over that period, too (runs from 26 October to 4 November 2012) so if you’re heading out that way you can stop in for a little early Christmas gift shopping!
