Wildlife Photographer of the Year

13,14,15 March.  10am – 5pm.  Iziko South African Museum, 25 Queen Victoria Street, Cape Town (next to the Planetarium)

Kirstenbosch Annual Garden Fair

14,15 March. 9am-4pm. Kirstenbosch Stone Cottages

kirstenbosch garden fair 2008This annual fundraising event supports Kirstenbosch development projects and is a showcase for South Africa’s indigenous flora especially grown to offer gardeners a unique opportunity to acquire a wide range (some 500+ species) of various plants.

Exhibitors will offer garden-related products and services, refreshments will be available at the Tea /Wine/Beer Garden under the oak trees, and there will be musical performances on both days of the Fair.  (more info)

Kalk Bay Fresh Etc Market

Sunday 15 March from 9am-2pm. Kalk Bay Community Centre

kalk bay fresh etcKalk Bay’s small local seaside food, fresh goods and natural/organic products market, happens again this Sunday at the Kalk Bay Community Centre, Main Road Kalk Bay (opposite Dalebrook beach).

It’s a fabulous way to spend a Sunday.. trawling the stalls, and then wandering down into Kalk Bay itself.  Awesome.

Come and find lots more virtuous delicacies, sumptuous treats and salubrious curiosities, including the Constantia Cheesery, Gerald’s Honey, Olyfberg Olives, Marinella’s Bakes and Preserves, the Olive Workshop, Caffe Pronto, Desert Plants, Allison’s Cakes, Bottled Delights, Falafel Ali and others…
