I’ve just heard about another market that could well be worth checking out… especially for anyone living in or near Hout Bay.

It’s the Hout Bay Sunset Market, to held next Friday (21st Nov) at the Hout Bay Montessori School. It seems to be a one-off, rather than a monthly or weekly event, but for anyone in or near Hout Bay, could be a good way to spend a relaxing Friday evening (provided the weather doesn’t get up to any more major mischief!).

The evening market is to be held on Friday 21 November from 4pm (set up for stalls 3.30) till sundown ( 8pm), in the beautiful gardens of the Hout Bay Montessori School (the stone cottages on Main Rd near Oakhurst Farm Store).

This is to be a destination family event, rather than just a market. There will be picnic baskets and wine and champers for sale, kiddies entertainment( fish pond, dance floor, face painting, pony rides etc ), live music and the organic ethical market to browse through. The market will comprise food/wine and products.

Some of the other exhibitors on board are Wigwam Workshop, Acorn Kids, Bouncing bunnies, Luca and Co, French linen products from Juju et Moi, Skinnylaminx, Hout Bay Flower sellers, La Cucchina, Buffulo Ridge, organic veggies etc etc.

Sounds like a great family event, and a fun place to stock up on organic veggies or find some eco-friendly, ethically-made Christmas presents (I’ve added it to my ‘what’s on’ calendar).

Thanks, Dax, for the heads-up on this one!
