Tuesday 19th May 2009 – Susanne Dittke,
Chemical Engineer and Environmental Consultant, of Envirosense presents:
Walking Lightly on the Earth – Why and How does MY PERSONAL LIFESTYLE matter ?
Striving for Zero Waste as part of shrinking our ecological footprint is a way of thinking that profoundly changes our approach to resource management and production. Not only is the vision of a Zero Waste and therefore zero harm society (as part of an environmental value based economy) about recycling and generally less rubbish going to landfill but it truly revolutionises, re-structures and reinvents products and their manufacturing to prevent waste from being generated in the first place. In addition it creates a new type of consumer ethics and awareness while promoting opportunities for local self-reliance and job creation.
