And down came the rain… Well, never mind, there are plenty of indoor markets, and fabulous events to keep you entertained and warm. Here’s my pick from the Mother City Living events calendar (feel free to add more as comments, if you feel so inclined)
Saturday 1 August, 9am-3pm. Melkboschplaas, Melkbosstrand (info)
A fair I’ve just discovered, though I haven’t yet been to it. It’s held in a big old barn yard situated on the Melkboschplaas, on the R27 opposite the Atlantic Beach Golf Estate in Melkbosstrand. It is, organisers tell me, a “food fair with many many food traders from fresh and organic to wonderfully decadent”, with plenty of outdoor and indoor activities for the kids and, for dads, a big screen for sport.
